Paneer Butter Masala

A rich, creamy tomato-based curry with soft paneer cubes, perfect with roti or naan.

Ingredients:

  • Paneer – 250 gm, cubed

  • Butter – 2 tbsp

  • Onion – 1 large, finely chopped

  • Tomato puree – 1 cup

  • Fresh cream – ¼ cup

  • Ginger-garlic powder/paste – 1/4tsp/1 tsp

  • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) – 1 tsp

  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp

  • Garam masala – 1 tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Sugar – ½ tsp

  • Fresh coriander – for ga ish

Method:

  1. Heat butter, sauté onions until golden. Add ginger-garlic powder/paste and cook for 1 min.

  2. Add tomato puree, red chili powder, salt, and sugar. Cook until oil separates.

  3. Add paneer cubes and kasuri methi, mix gently. Cook for 5 mins on low flame.

  4. Stir in fresh cream and garam masala, simmer for 2 minutes. Ga ish with coriander.
